How long should the bald spots that rabbits get during molting last? Thumper has a spot above and to the right of her tail for 3 weeks now and it is starting to worry me. She isn’t showing any signs of discomfort but she will kick dirt if I start poking around the bald spot. From what I know this doesn’t seem like it needs a Vet to look at it but I will schedule a visit if you guys think it is needed.

It can take a while, but once you see the new fur coming in, it will fill in quickly. Wick is loosing fur for different reasons, and it can take two-three weeks for new fur to start popping up (easy to see because it’s black fur). Just monitor that the skin is okay and healthy and wait.
