        Hi all,
My 8 month old bunny Bandit is normally very active, I have noticed last night and this morning he is less so. I let him and his brother out of their pens to have free play and they will explore a little bit but Bandit will find somewhere to lay down after about 10 minutes. He is eating, drinking and pooping. Both bunnies have been seen in the last month by the vet for check ups (both were fine) so I am stumped. Could this be the “winter blues”? it has been kind of cruddy weather lately could this contribute?

Is the room your bunnies are in Cold? A rabbit will stop to find a warm spot to sleep in the winter. If the room is warm and there is no drafts keep an eye on him, if he doesn’t act excited when you give him food or treats make an appointment with the vet. Watch for sneezing, runny nose, soft or watery poops, etc.

            Hiya!
Thanks for the reply! I let both buns out for their free run last night and Bandit was the first one out of the gate!! I think it was just a lazy day He even did a few binkies for his brother ! His eating has not changed he is still acting like he hasn’t eaten in a month LOL and his poops are normal. Sometimes I worry way too much about these 2 rascals, I am a first time bunny owner and these 2 were rescued from a breeder who was selling for pets or meat and didn’t seem to care where they ended up. They were the last ones from their litter and I couldn’t walk away She told me they were the right age for rehoming (They were 6 weeks so absolutely not) and they both had urine scald on their back hoppers.  I had no time to research about bunnies because it was such an impulse ( The best one I’ve ever had) they had to live in my chicken hutch (we never did get the chickens) for a week while I had the indoor pen built. It has been a total learning curve with these 2!
