I took my French lop to the vet today and an ear infection was confirmed. He took swabs, cleaned them out, and treated them in the office. He gave me ear medicine to use in each ear once daily for 7 days. He said if it’s not cleared up then to call him after and warned for signs of head tilt. But how will I know if it’s cleared up? I could not visibly see any signs of it to begin with. My loppy has been acting sore and flicking her ears a lot and was avoiding me. I am worried about her.

If you’re unsure, you can take your bunny back in to have them take a look. They should be able to see if there are still signs of infection.

As for the sore eye, I imagine so. It’s usually pretty traumatic when their ear is cleaned during an active infection. The already angry tissues will become inflamed for awhile.
