Hi all, gosh, I can’t seem to find an answer to this on the web…I’ve been experimenting with things to keep my rabbit occupied. I work from home, and him and I share my office all day. I’ve noticed over the last couple of days, that nearly all toys I give him, he tries to cram as much of it in his mouth as he can, and shakes it around for a bit, before very deliberately carrying it to his litter box, dropping it in the box, then hops out and lies on the floor, or continues on to something else. I’ve given him a couple towels and some plush toys, a rope with pretend sausage on each end….he’s taken each one to his box and leaves it there. I take the stuff out, it ends up back there.

        Why is he doing this?

He’s not neutered yet, but is going in for that on Tuesday.
        Thanks all!

Does he like his litterbox? If so, I think it’s moving and hoarding items he enjoys. If not, I think he’s getting rid of them so he has more space.

I’m pretty sure another member recently dealt with this but I can’t remember if a reason was ever found. I wonder if he just likes to keep his toys tidy rather than out on the floor?!

My rabbis does this but she puts all her toys into her water bowl and I can never fight out why?

My bun moves everything that’s hers around all the time. I never know where I’m going to find her wood blocks or her litter pan scoop (which incidentally I’ve never actually used to clean her litter pan because she absolutely loves it so it’s just her toy now) she moves her pellet and water dishes. The other day I found her pellet dish in her hidey house. I always wonder what goes on in their little minds when they are doing this haha.
