Hey everyone! I am currently building a C&C cage for my bunny and I am making it 2 feet by 4 feet and then when I’m home and I was wondering some good tips for toys for rabbits? My bun loves to play with scarfs and lay on them but he isn’t the biggest fan of the hidies I bought him. Any rabbit must-haves?

I should also say he isn’t really a big fan of chewing on those stick toys!

Anything cardboard usually goes over well – toilet roll tubes, etc. You can cut slits in the end for tossing or fill them with hay for a healthy toy/treat. I also like plastic baby keys since they can toss them around and get pretty good mileage out of them. If by “stick toy” do you mean hard wood toys and branches? If so, some rabbits will enjoy toys and balls made of willow even if they don’t like thicker, harder wood toys. Also, no matter what you get, try to rotate the toys you offer him once in a while so they seem “new” and it helps prevent boredom.

My rabbits love willow toys; balls, dumbells, baskets etc. They also enjoy their plastic stacking cups and plastic bowling pins. Giant legos are fun too which reminds me I haven’t given them any lego for a while! Must swap some toys round. Cardboard toys are great too. Stuffing hay into willow baskets, toilet paper tubes, paper bags seems to go down well with my pair.

My buns loved “bunstructing” upside down cardboard boxes with a door and window cut out. They also use it as a safe hidey house, customized to their satisfaction.

Willow toys are a huuuuge hit at my house. Also the teach and treat from living world! It keeps my bun from inhaling his pellets and it’s quite fun to watch him figure it out. Treat balls too. There are also a ton of toys you can make from paper towel/toilet paper rolls so start saving those up! He also loves sea grass mats that he can dig and chew on.

I also have the tunnel haven from the BB store that he loves running through!

I never tried the Tunnel Haven but for years I had the Cottontail Cottage. All my original 3 loved it! I haven’t re-ordered one because I’m pretty sure poor Sterling would go right through the floors, he’s so heavy.
