        Hi

I have just joined today after coming across this site a few times over the last few years. My two buns and I live in rural Australia and we try and be as self sufficient as we can.

I have a male and female who are currently molting all over my house. They were both adopted from homes that could no longer care for them. The female came from an elderly relative – she can be a feisty princess (but never nasty). She was my first bun and a lone bun for the first 2 years with me, she made sure I knew VERY quickly that she is not a cage bunny and deserves to live indoors with me – she would have slept with me if I wasn’t so scared of squashing her! I tried for a long time to find her a friend from rescues but was unsuccessful in this, so I put an advertisement up on facebook for a male bun. Within 2 days a family offered me a cute desexed male. He is still new to the family having only joined us in August of last year. He came from a loving family that had a large outdoor hutch for him, unfortunately their new puppy had learned to open his cage and the family had come home to the dogs chasing the rabbit around the yard more than once. The male has a few health issues, and my vet and I suspect he is older than I was told, but that is ok, he is doing well here. He had his front teeth removed before I got him – but the vets did a very dodgy job on this and he has ongoing issues with it. I have pain meds on hand at all times if he needs them but he has been going really well lately. I have never ever seen a bunny flop as much as he does. He doesnt really have the co-ordination to binky, so I guess he flops when he is happy.

They are bonded now and adore each other, 2 buns has just doubled the love and they are so cute to watch together. I am so lucky to have them!

I look forward to house rabbit discussion and more game ideas. Is there a section for home grown greens?

Hello and welcome to Binky Bunny! It was great of you to take in these rabbits. I think that they are lucky to have you!

There have been some threads about growing greens. They are probably in the Diet and Care section. The search function is not working here at this time, but you can go to Google or whatever search engine you use and find threads on a particular subject here. Type in Binky Bunny growing greens or whatever key words might generate some results. You can also start your own thread on growing greens here.

Hi! That’s awesome that you found her a friend . What are their names?

              Thanks for the welcome

Im a bit worried to put their names up as they have a bit of a fanclub. I am not sure I will be sticking around here, having already been implied that I am a irresponsible owner That makes me feel quite unwelcome, I adore my buns and spend a lot of time with them. I was hoping this would be a nice place to share the love. I have not found that to be true today – but I’ll give it a few more days. Maybe it was just a rude egg.

Sigh. I guess this isnt the forum for me. I will leave you guys to the clique. Its not worth my time. I have no desire to participate in petty fighting. All I want is to love my buns and share my experience. I can do that elsewhere as it has not been well received here. The buns are sprinting around the house through their tunnels and doing binkies over the pillows, they always know how to cheer me up! Beautiful fluff fluffs! Enjoy your weekend bun cuddles peeps

Floppyhoppy, i have mp’d you. Please stay. Your buns sound lovely and you obviously adore them, that comes through in your posts.

I haven’t followed why you are disappointed with BB but we are a bunny loving community who welcome any bunny loving Aussie with open arms…. we’ve got a few (Aussies) here. They’re fab chickadees !!

Our wonderful and gorgeous FLs are here to filter snarkiness. There are soooo many posts they can’t police them all. You can click on the “alert” button a post so they can check it out.

                  Please reconsider.
