hello we have 3 female rabbits all bought together from a pet store when they were baby’s
they usto be very friendly when we had them all out of there cages in the house raomping around playing with each other
now they all got along for some time we had them all in the same cage and we think that one of the rabbits bit both of the other 2
we had to get them stitches at the vet
we have them all seperated in big cages now but we let them out one at a time to roam around the house
my question is would it be ok to let them out to roam around the house together again?

I think that you should first get them spayed to minimize aggression and territoriality, keep them separated at all times until all hormones are out of their systems (about 1 month after spay) and then re-bond them. Spaying is also suggested to avoid the risk of reproductive organs cancer in female rabbits, so I would definitely suggest to arrange that

You can find a lot of information about spaying and re-bonding on the forum, too!

Eh sadly I’m at the other end of the Ocean But you could contact the local bunny shelters or animal services (is it called ASPCA over there?) and see if they could hook you with a cheaper vet, or if they are offering cheaper options

Hi and welcome to Binky Bunny! It would definitely be best to keep the bunnies apart at all times. Even letting two or all be together for a minute could result in a fight with severe injuries. Rabbits can also hold grudges if they fight and hurt each other, which can make future bonding very difficult. It doesn’t matter if they were litter mates and have been together since birth. Once puberty hits and you are dealing with hormones, everything changes. And, you need to be absolutely sure that they are all females. Most pet store personnel know very little about rabbits and have often told people they were getting the same gender, then they were surprised with a litter, a few weeks or months after bringing them home.

There is a chapter of the House Rabbit Society in NYC. They have a vet list on their site, but you could also contact them to see if they know of any low cost clinics. http://www.rabbitcare.org/contact.htm

Here are 2 good articles on bonding:
