I generally give the monsters willow based toys or paper/card based but there’s a few loofah style ones that look fun and I’m wondering if loofah is a safe material for bunnies to chew on/possibly ingest? And what about corn leaf? Palm leaf and abaca?

When we had Quincy, I bought some loofahs from Small Pet Select and never had any issues. Their site said that they were bunny safe! Not sure about the corn or palm though.

From SPS website: “Loofah is nature’s floss for rabbits and piggies!  Terrific for giving those teeth a great workout, loofah also provides a totally different and interesting chew texture for the buns and the guinea piggies.”

Choo’s never had trouble with loofah either. I bought a raw one from the Body Shop and sliced it with a big knife to make toys for him.

I’ve never given Alfie a loofah you so cant weigh in there, but he does have several with corn and palm leaves and he loves to toss/shred them up and we haven’t had any problems!
