I brought Benji in from outside as usual, and after 4-5 hours it was time for him to go back outside. He was under the chair, so I went to go and shoe him out from underneath it with my hand. I usually just tap on the ground behind him and he moves. But this time he didn’t move. he hissed, bit me lightly and swatted me away. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to handle this. This is not normal behavior for him. I checked him for any bumps or abnormality’s, to see if it hurt anywhere but there was nothing.

Hope to hear back from someone soon, Thanks.

Did you not have your eyes on him, and then came out to find him under the chair? If so, something may have scared him and he was defending himself. Also if that’s the case, you should supervise your rabbits when outside 100% of the time.

Thank you so much for the advice. He ways under my supervision 100% of the time. I never thought that maybe I  just scared him.

If all other behaviors are normal, it sounds like you just accidentally startled him. Maybe he was sleeping and you caught him off guard?

He wasn’t sleeping, I think he was grooming himself and he was looking the other way. I probably just scared him. An all other behavior is completely normal so, | am not worried any more

Sometimes Juliet will do this rarely. I think he may have been relaxing and just got a little startled. Thats all
