My rabbit olaf is litter trained pretty good, he poops and pees in his box but he also poops outside the box. Do you have any tips on getting him to stop pooping outside the box? And does anyone know if it’s a behavioral Thing?  I have tried to improve his litter training to get him to stop but he still does, can I do anything to improve It?

Has anyone ever had a similar problem? I would love to hear about it.

        Thanks

Strengthening the connection is the only thing to refine the last few poos and pees. With some rabbits , it may never be 100%. For example, Wick will still poop when he wants to mark a new place, and he will pee if he wakes up from a nap and doesn’t attempt to go to the box.

Moving or coaxing your rabbit to the box immediately after or during/before a pee/poo is the best method.

Sometimes if you pick up poops with a tissue and put the tissue with the poop in his litter box he will notice that he needs to do a better job. Same with pee. My bunny has poops and pee puddles lying around in his cage and I just clean it most of the time. Sometimes it’s because they are young or not fixed yet.
