I spend most evenings in the bunny room with Benny. I usually lay on the floor against a pillow on my computer while he runs around. Once he gets tired he usually ends up hopping up on my chest and cuddling with me. He’ll put his head under my chin and lay there a while so I can rub him. If you haven’t gotten this experience with your bunny, it is the best! He’ll lick my face and huddle into my neck. The weird thing is, after a little while he’ll start digging at my shirt and pulling on it. I can’t figure out why he starts to dig at me. Does anyone know why he might do this? He seems very content cuddling on me. He chatters his teeth(the happy kind, not the grinding kind) and even falls asleep up there.

Remember human being bodies are big and a rabbit won’t be able to understand you’re entire body is your entire body, especially when layering of clothes is involved.

He’s probably digging a scrape, like a rabbit would in nature. It gives them security.

Ha ha! Mine does that plenty of times when ever it’s really soft fabric or if a sleeve is dangling off my arm.

My two especially love digging at my feet when I’m wearing slippers or heavy socks ?

Our new bunny digs and chews the clothing we are wearing! It seems from other posts this is normal behavior?!

^ In this video you’ll see some normal rabbit behaviors, including “smoothing out” a lot, a few instances of digging, and binkying. Very normal behavior.

When it becomes aggressive and destructive, it can be a sign of stress and frustration, but you’ll notice other signs if that’s the case.

Love the video Wick. Nothing like the barely contained excitement and binkyness of a rabbit that escapes in bursts. Cute!
