My male rabbit has been spayed for a little over four months now while my female had been spayed for a little over a month. Bonding went really well in the neutral area so we expanded to supervised play time. When that went well I’ve now allowed them to roam around together supervised. Everything has been going good but all of a sudden the male rabbit is honking and humping the female! A fight hasn’t broken out between the two and the female doesn’t seem stressed. I’m just wondering if this is normal or did I rush the bonding process?

Sounds like they are still working on their bond. Rabbits will hump to show dominance if their bond isnt cemented.

Do you think I should separate them or would that just hurt the progress they’ve made so far?

Since theyre not fighting, I would separate them. But I would do more bonding sessions in smaller areas and some stress bonding to help them cement their bond a little quicker
