Ok so one of my bunnies ( Her Name is Daisy ) for the past month has been occasional making these very loud high pitch squeaks it sorta sound like she congested or something. Today she made those squeaks again then she stopped after a little while so I decided to see if she was alright and so I went to pick her up to see if she was alright and she began to make them again and she tried to dig her claws in the blanket as if trying to grab it… this seemed odd to me cause she’s never tried to grab the blanket before so I picked her up and she continued squeaking but even louder. Should I be concerned?? Is she congested or is she scared of me or is she having a pain of some sort? Please let me know what you guys know or think thank you.

I say yes and bring her to a rabbit vet. She may have something in her lungs or nasal passages.

Any changes in environment? It could be allergies which can be solved if it’s found, or a bacterial infection which can only be treated with antibiotics and should be treated early to before it breeds and gets worse.

She is shedding a lot… and also her companion Arwen but she isn’t shedding half as much. She a Rex bunny so her loose fur comes in clumps I try to get rid of it but about every few days or so you see new clumps. I changed the setting of her cage not that long ago. Probably about 1 and a half weeks ago so I don’t think that’s the case. I’ll try to make an appointment for the vet that I go to after the holiday.

She seems fine now she’s eating with Arwen doesn’t seem like she’s in pain which is good. Hopefully she doesn’t have anymore strange noises before I take her to the vet.

You might try to video her making the sound so that the vet can see it. If she doesn’t do it in the office the diagnosis might be a bit harder.

That’s a good idea! If she starts squeaking again it again I’ll do that. But the problem is when I start walking and she hears me she stops so I’ll have to be very quite or just video her from far away.
