So this year we’ve been having a bit of minor health problems with Hope. A 4 year old mini Lop.
First she wasn’t eating enough hay so we switched to new hay (APD High Fiber) then she stopped eating her pellets so we switched to Oxbow Garden Select Adult Rabbit Food. Everything was going well but she was dropping weight so I was informed to switch from APD High Fiber to APD Timothy Gold and Up her Pellets. No problem. Everything’s good. She gained the weight back she needed so We’re slowly starting to decrease from 3/4 Pellets a day (broken up into 3 “meals”).But now we’re to the point of she’s creating extra Cecals. Shes eating and drinking and going to the bathroom normal. Gets 2 cups of Romaine a day and were slowly introducing Kale.

I’m wondering if I can have half APD High Fiber and Half APD Timothy Gold as her hay at the same time. Cause the APD High Fiber is Too low in calories but the APD Timothy Gold isn’t high enough in fiber.

Please help a concerned bun parent.

I use both of those hays for my bunnies, along with a few other kinds. I almost always give my bunnies a mixture of 2 or 3 hays at one time. It’s perfectly fine to mix hay.
