        Heya people!

I wanted to talk to you about my bunny. Some of you know who my bunny is, she’s a White Snow. I have an introduction thread of her somewhere lost in Introduction section.

So, lately, White Snow would not hesitate to kiss my whole face. She used to lick my nose and now not only she licks my nose but she would lick my cheeks, my ears and even my hair! And she would not stop! Cute overload.

I sometimes kiss her forehead as well.

I got a question though! I do know that if a dog licks you, you may catch.. an infection (?) like.. Rabbies or something, flea, etc. I was wondering if her licks could transfer any form of infections towards to me or not?

I have read that rabbits can not transfer infections to humans (Unless if they got rabbies which is extreme rare for domestic bunnies) and I have read that ONLY humans can transfer their own infection to rabbits which can make stuff worse, like cold herpes something.

So I was wondering if anyone could tell me stuff that I should know when it comes to kissing a bunny and having your face licked by a bunny.

        Thank you!

Unless your rabbit has some sort of infection you know about, it’s pretty harmless. Wick has a ringworm fungal infection of his face and I still let him lick me all over. Never passed to me.

There are exceptions, but the large majority of the time, you’d know if your rabbit has something that could be passed.

If your rabbit has an infection I would assume you would be well aware and in the process of treating it so generally you should be fine.
