        • Hello, I’m writing this forum because I need your help. I have a baby 7 week old male bunny named Theodore that I’ve had for a couple weeks now. Long story short, I saved him from a pet shop. He is so sweet and I truly feel like he needs companionship. I’ve had multiple bunnies in the past but always had separate cages for them. I have a huugggee cage for Theodore and was wondering if I got a bunny that is around his age if they would bond well?
        • Side note: I asked my vet and she told me males get along well together, but I’ve also read females get along with males too.
        • Pretty much want to know if it’s easier for me to bond them now at 7 – 8 weeks of age before their hormones hit, or do I wait till Theodore is 3-4 months of age to neuter him and then try to bond him to another bunny? I read on a few forums that the same age group is preferable, is this true?
        • Also, I understand that once they are 3-4 months of age they will need to be in separate cages to avoid altercations. I just want them to bond well in the longterm. I don’t mind having an extra cage for a couple months. Thanks!

Babies can not form bonds so you’ll need to keep them separate, have them neutered and spayed, wait for their hormones to disipate and then begin bonding.
