Hi all. Finally realised there is a binkybunny world outside of the Q&A section haha. I’m wondering when I might expect to see any behaviours related to sexual desires in my little fluffykins.

He’s testicals have dropped (must have dropped at least 3 or more weeks ago – he’s currently 19.5 weeks) but I never realised. I did start feeling something different (now I know it’s them) a few weeks back, when I pick him up for cuddles, but I thought it was his tail that is until the vet showed me last Saturday his manhood. Then I realised it wasn’t his tail all along…

So like I said I remember feeling them maybe around a month or so ago.

So far, all he’s done that might be described as vaguely sexual is run in circles around my legs maybe twice, no sounds and it was probably because I had his pellets bowl in my hand both times?! I’m not sure.

I’m wondering if I will see any of the other signs (not that I want to)! But it’ll help me pre plan. Roughly how long after the descent do the behaviours start?

        Thank you as always!

My boy never showed any signs! Neither did my doe. My boy shows more signs now actually – running in circles and honking at Buttercup. He was neutered last December lol.

It does really depend on the rabbit. Just know if a new behavior does appear, evaluate if it matches sexual maturity or something else you may need to be concerned about.

Wick’s descended at 8 months and we scheduled his neuter about two weeks after. Only the three days approaching the neuter did he start doing one behavior: spraying exclusively me, haha. Thankfully this stopped immediately after the neuter.

Boy, our current male was something else when he was only two months old. It was impossible to be in the same room without him mounting arms and legs. The two month wait till we could get him fixed felt like a small eternity LOL then it took a goood six weeks to wear off. Now he is lazy, fat and just a really sweet tempered little guy.
Other rabbits I’ve had in the past matured around six months or so. One male I had for two years before he passed unexpectedly and never remember him acting up like that at all, although he did spray things. I guess it probably does depend on the rabbit.
One thing is for sure, if yours decides to fall in bunny love with you, you will most definitely know it LOL

Boymom: same with Bombur! Asriel never really exhibited signs, except for his need to excessively chin everything. Bombur just wanted to mount and hump everything in sight. It was a nightmare. Literally the longest 2 months of my life.

Atlas didn’t ever really hump, but he did spray pee, which was absolutely obnoxious. It would get about 2 feet up the wall.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I’ll have to wait and see what (if any) behaviours I’ll be tested by!

Wick that is funny how only you were the object of the spraying haha. Oh god, boymom and others with little humping terrors…
