        Dear Mr. Poppy,

I lost you today unexpectedly. I wish I had time to say bye. To kiss you one last time. To hug you. To tell you I loved you. But unfortunately I couldn’t. You caught a bacteria and I was away. It was so fast and you just turned 3 years old. I don’t want to remember you with sadness. Thank you for all the lessons you taught me. You taught me how to be independent. How to care for an animal without help from a parent. You eased my loneliness in a new apartment in a new city. I loved cuddling up to you and feeling your whiskers on my face. I loved seeing you flop on your side when you were really comfortable. You were a pain in the butt sometimes, but it makes me laugh thinking about your mischievous self. One of my favorite memories is when you binkied on my bed for 5 minutes straight. Right now, I have a hard time thinking about you without tears. But one day, I will remember you with happiness. I’m glad your suffering was short and that you are in a better place. I am thankful you hold no resentment, grudge, bitterness….You are just an innocent bunny who lived a good life even if it was too short. I look forward to seeing you in heaven. I love you so much. Thank you again for the laughs and the love.

        Forever love,

        Your Human Mother.

          My condolences,

My prince just passed away as well, I’m sure they are binkying around in an open field right now. My little boy sounds a lot like yours.
Jordstein was also my companion in my apartment, he eased my loneliness and we enjoyed each others company.
I hope you find closure in the loss of your boy.

          Much love,

          Jordstein’s mom

I’m so sorry for your loss Rabbits are wonderful companions, and I’m happy to read that you shared so much together even though the time you had together was short. It sounds like the time he spent with you was truly amazing, licks and cuddles are the most sincere form of love you can get from a rabbit, not to mention the binkies…

Bunnymother23, that is a very sweet farewell letter . I’m sure he is binkying in Rainbow Bridge peacefully.

That was a lovely letter to your sweet rabbit. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my bunny unexpectedly as well, on Friday..they are so fragile. I hope we both can find peace and are reunited with our bun buns one day!
