So everybun, I have been published a couple times before (for poetry) and was considering a rabbit-care book, as most of the books iv’e read are painfully lacking, in my book, I will be covering the top 5 rabbit breeds I recommenced for new owners; so, I’m doing a poll until around December. Feel free to participate! (Contact me if there is a breed you think I need to include!)

A mini lop (I think that’s the same as a Holland lop) is often recommended as a first bun. But all buns are individuals and some mini lops are high energy so there really are no guarantees. Lop ears are a sign of domestication and only found in domesticated animals with the exception of elephants.

I have a mini lop that’s lovely. He was my first bun as an adult. He’s very sweet natured.

Polish buns should be in there.

I think New Zealands make an excellent first bunny, personally. They’re hardy rabbits, and they tend to have very friendly personalities. Plus, they’re a bigger standard-furred breed, and aren’t prone to tooth/ear issues like some dwarf breeds, so they’re a bit less fragile.
