Cookie’s been digging a lot recently. SHould I be discouraging this, or should I just let it happen? She’s about 2 months, so I know it’s probably going to be a bigger problem later, but should I stop her from doing it? I just feel that it’s natural and I shouldn’t  do anything.

Bunnies dig. It’s what they do. I don’t understand why you’d want to stop it unless she’s digging at something dangerous.

Yeah it’s a natural behavior they do. It’s important to consider if it’s digging out of frustration, but that doesn’t happen often. In bored buns perhaps.

Wick digs at the sofa before he relaxes in the spot or before he tries to pee there, so when I hear sofa digging, I’m at the ready to discourage peeing, haha.

Nope, it’s pretty much unstoppable.  Bunnies are sooooo stubborn  Lol.  The only thing I can say is bunny proof!  Take away things that you don’t want dug at. And as for the carpet, all you can do it discourage it…..  And even then, no guarantees.  Not here anyways, lolol.  Sirius will dig at the carpet in front of our spare bedroom in my house, if the door is closed and she wants in.  Ugh.  She’ll rip up carpet bits….  She’s a brat.  So I bunny proofed the room, and just let her go in there.  Door open always, so as to spare our poor carpet….  Little snot.  Lol.

We have one who loves to dig all the time. We give her old phone books in her favorite corners and she loves it.

My little Mini-Rex used to love digging at blankets, clothes and towels. It was hilarious to watch him dig and bunch them all up under his tummy, then smooth them out and start all over.
