about three weeks ago i took my rabbit to the vet bc i thought she had ear mites the vet said she has an ear infection (idk if they’re the same or different) she gave me ear drops and i used them my rabbits last appointment was 3 days ago her vet said i don’t need to use the ear drop anymore and that she’s happy with the way my rabbit is doing and that she even gained/put on weight, today while i was trying to sleep i heard my rabbits ear flapping which means she was shaking her head i tried to ignore it two hours later same thing so now i’m pretty worried what if she still has an ear infection i know i should trust the doctor considering she’s specialized in rabbits and used this ear thingy to look inside my rabbits ear but why would my rabbit shake her head twice in the span of 4 hours i’m really anxious also i did feed my rabbit about 4 dry banana treats today so could that be the reason ? sorry i’m just really anxious and worried about her

Illumi, did you tell your vet specifically about the head shaking? Sometimes head shaking is not about the ear, but about a different underlying condition. If your bun is shaking her head that much I would mention it to the vet. If you feel like your vet is not listening to your concerns, then maybe you can get a second opinion.

when i took my rabbit to the vet about 3 weeks i did tell her “i think she has earmites she’s shaking her head” and you know the rest also one thing i forgot to mention my rabbit only has 1 back hind leg so she can’t scratch her left ear could it be that she was shaking her head as a way of scracthing her ear?
