Hi, I just adopted a lionhead bunny a month ago (he’s 3 months currently) and I have noticed that Potato ALWAYS pees on my blankets or clothing. I give him a lot of space to run around and he always runs to his cage when he’s ready to pee or poop. But, if I come by wrapped in a blanket to play with him, he will always pee on my blanket. I also left one of my t-shirts on the floor because I was curious to see what he’d do, and he peed on that too! My boyfriend had him at his place for a week and Potato (even though my boyfriend’s bed is low enough to jump on), NEVER peed on his blankets until I got there and started using them. I’m really curious to why he does this and would really appreciate answers .

If a bunny pees on you, he’s claiming you as his. When a bunny is in love, he will pee on his loved one. Buns also like to pee where the scent of the loved one is especially strong -like beds or sofas or clothes that have been worn. Peeing on stuff is a way of claiming the places or items. Your bun holds you in high esteem.

It means he loves you, haha. Exactly as bam says.
