My bunny Nightcrawler broke his front leg a few months ago, the bone has since healed but then he had nerve damage and was gnawing on his leg. After failed efforts to get him to stop the vet decided it was best to amputate his front leg. The amputation was yesterday 11/3/17 and he has already gotten the gauze off of his now nub and I’m worried he will keep messing with it. I’ve tried topical spray chew deterrent, he has tons of chew toys and treats at all times, we are currently trying to make him some sort of bunny cone. If anyone has ever experienced anything like this or has an suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

I think unfortunately a cone might be a good option. If you can find one, some companies make soft cones or rings that are good for bunnies.
Other than that, I would keep him calm in a small, padded space. Keep the wound bandaged and call the vets if it looks irritated or infected.

Definitely going to need a cone asap. An infection an get pretty horrible rather quickly, especially on a leg, and especially where he can lick/chew on the area.
