        Hi all,

So Thor’s been shedding ever since I got her, but this is getting ridiculous. Here’s a picture of her I just took (ignore grumpy bunny face, I had to turn on the flash to get a good picture of her).

You can clearly see the two molt lines going down her back, and she’s just started a new one at her nose again! I don’t really mind the fur, since she’s only one little bunny and she doesn’t shed a ton, but is this a concern? She looks so strange and it is quite odd that she just keeps on shedding and shedding. Could there be a health concern? Anyone with similar experiences?

This year Chewie molted pretty much non stop since last spring
And I’ve been hearing similar stories from other countries, so maybe solar flares are affecting them or something?? LOL

This year is unusual for many rabbits Wick’s vet assures me. Wick is the same as well.

Hm how strange. It really seems to be a worldwide molt phenomenon!

Ah well as long as it’s not a health problem I’ll just accept her, weird molts, huge balls of fluff around the house and all

Two of my bunnies are going through their fifth or sixth moult in the last six months I dont mind the hairballs and I get a good laugh at their shed lines. Right now, Badger looks like he has a reverse mustache/beard on his face and a silly skirt, and my Bombur has silly layers like Thor does My Blue has just been shedding all year round, but thats relatively normal for him.

Yup, normal for some bunnies. When they pretty much shed everything it’s referred to as “blowing their coat”. Those heavy molts are sure a lot of work.

Both of my buns have been moulting for the past 3 months. There was a two week break when I thought we were in the clear, but then hair started flying again.

Lol, silly buns. I was getting used to the constant shedding (molt, wait 2 days, start again). But three molt lines on the same bunny? Man she is super committed to growing fur. I think all the food I put into her just goes into growing more fluff.
