This is more of a serious topic for anyone that owns a gerbil. This has nothing to do with rabbits at all. My 2 1/2 gerbil has recently got a really bad head tilt, after this happens he started itching at his ear to the point of blood. I don’t know what to do anymore, there is no one who will put down a gerbil (which I think would be best for him, I don’t want him to die, but I don’t want him to suffer) I clean the blood off every day, but it just keeps getting worse. I don’t know what to do ☹️And it’s not like I can make him a cone to stop the itching (wish I could)

I don’t really know much about gerbils but I want to offer some {{{vibes}}} for him. Are they classed as an exotic pet like rabbits?
Could he go on an anti-inflammatory med?

Im very sorry you haven’t found a vet that will euthanise. One of our members went through this recently with her hedgehog. She did eventually find someone and he even came to her house. Would you have any local rescues that could suggest a vet for you?
