i’m sure this has been asked before, but i’m not entirely sure how to word it for the search…

anyway, i’ve got a question that could use an answer. i’ve noticed that many members on here say they feed their buns 2 separate servings of veggies/pellets daily, as in they take the total amount needed each day and split it between two different times (morning and night, usually). i was wondering why this is done by so many people and if it is a necessity. i’ve always got time for things like this, so i wouldn’t mind changing up my routine, though i’m not sure why it’s done in the first place. it’s a bit of a weird question, i know. thanks for reading/answering!

I’ve always fed two meals to try to match up to what a wild rabbit would do. A wild bunny would be grazing on plants throughout the day, but most active in the morning and evening, so I would expect them to eat the most at those two times.

I think as long as they have hay all the time though, it’s OK to feed veggies and pellets just once a day (I know some people here do that, and we do that when we have a pet-sitter).

alright then! i’ve always got her hay filled and i always rinse and refill her water daily, but when it came to the other parts of her diet i was just a bit confused.

i’ve started feeding her veggies when i get home (sometime in the afternoon) instead of in the early morning when i wake up, and i’ve noticed she doesn’t eat them right away, though it could be that they’re just getting old and soggy and i need to open the new boxes. i’ll just have to wait and see.
