Hello everyone! I am on the hunt for a few setup ideas for my pellets and hay. I have not acquired my rabbit yet, as I am still getting my supplies but I have my eyes on a bag of oxbow pellet bag that holds about 25lbs of pellets and I managed to find a bag of hay (Orchard grass) that’s 10lbs. Any ideas on how to keep it organized? Or at least what sized container you use, and you manage it? Thank you!

EDIT: Shoot- didn’t mean to put this under the topic of bonding! I’m new to the website and got a little lost.

Before buying more actual food, you should focus on just storage, as the food you want will depend on the age of your rabbit. I hope you plan to adopt at a rescue! Then you can visit many and give a great rabbit a home.

You can just keep the pellets and hay in the bag they come in. I suggest a hay box, where you can cycle and combine old and new hay so hay won’t go to waste. It can just be a semi large cardboard box. Mine is a plastic container with holes on top to help ventilation. You don’t want moisture to hit the hay.

Also, I suggest buying a set of towels and a laundry bag (cloth diaper Landry bag) so you have designated materials for cleaning and putting dirty rabbit towels. I think this is much more economic and environmentally friendly than going through paper towels.
