She’s 10 pounds!  I give her a water bottle and a dish of water each day.   The bottle isn’t touched.  Should I be worried?  She does get lots of leafy greens two times a day.   Thank you

          How is her urine output?

With lots of leafy greens (esp if served wet), that’s pretty normal. Mine have a bowl and a bottle, and they usually only drink from the bowl. I think I read somewhere on here that bunnies will drink around 4 oz per day on average, but that number can fluctuate a bit. If they eat a lot of hay, they will drink more. More greens, will drink a bit less.

          I wouldn’t worry unless she isn’t peeing…

I agree, if she’s getting plenty of leafy greens, she’s getting most of the water she needs from that, especially if they’re wetted down as I do every day. My two buns eat a lot of hay so I’ve often observed them, especially Fernando, drinking from their water bowl after half an hour or so straight of hay-nomming. They have a big heavy ceramic one (4 cups capacity) that’s emptied and refilled twice daily for optimum water freshness.

If there’s a bowl option, rabbits will take the bowl because drinking from a bottle takes effort.
