I recently moved my rabbit into a larger cage and it is a dog crate so I am using fleece. Destiny is chewing her fleece allot and I cannot get her to stop. I am considering using ANTI CHEW SPRAY but I am afraid she will not like the scent as well as the taste and I don’t want to make her uncomftable in her own home. I cannot give her anything else right now unless I move her back into her old cage which is outgrown. My dad keeps saying he will supervise me whilst making somethig to line around the bottom of her cage so I can use substrate, however he never has time to supervise me. Do you think i should yse anti chew spray? If yes could you recommend one with a scent that will not make her unhappy?

You could try laying down one of the hay mat things down in the area she chews most, maybe then she will chew that instead. I was going to use a dog crate as well and put a shelf in over the litter box area as a “lounge” you could try that as well and maybe she will chew the wood instead. Just make sure it is bunny safe wood. Or place a large piece of cardboard down for now with little cuts all around it for traction. That way she can chew the cardboard instead that way you don’t have to just lay substrate down. Is she litter trained?

I’ve been considering getting a couple of beds for Panda and Fernando as a Christmas present. I was thinking of fleece, especially natural fleece if I can find it, but grass mats will work since they’re not as soft, thus presenting less temptation for peeing, and also safe to chew.

P.S. I’ve read that most anti-chewing sprays don’t really work that well, though there may be exceptions.

Thanks ou. I ok your advice and baught a dig and chew mat of amazon. Now she mainly chews on that but whist the is chewing it she drags it around her cage. When she is done she will leave it in the middle of her cage and if she wants to chew again she will go back to where the mat was and chews the fleece. I move the mat back as often as possible. Unfortunately I can’t be there all the time as I have school. I baught a chew stopper spray and that works. So I spray it on every morning. I have also recently baught some chew sticks so if the is chewing on the fleece I can put that near her and she will chew on that instead. By the way I am capable of taking care of a rabbit even though I am only 13. I give her the correct amount of care. I even know more than my parents even though my mother has had a rabbit before. Also, she does have plenty of chew toys. I think she just prefers to chew any tips of fabric.

Thankyou so much for your help.

My bunny chews her fleece a lot and the grass mat thing worked for me. I completely understand that you’re taking proper care, I’m your age and I know a lot more than my parents do about bunnies and people may think I’m too young but I’m not
