First post on this forum ? Hello!!

I have two rabbits who currently live outside, hopping around the garden during the day and getting shut in the shed at night time. I really want them to move inside so I can spend more time with them along with the obvious fact that it’s healthier and safer, but my mum’s adamantly against the idea because she hates how the woodshavings from their litter tray stick to socks/clothes and get everywhere. I’ve already tried offering to hoover up after them, so I’m just wondering if anyone here knows any alternatives to woodshavings that have the same odour control/absorption properties and less of the mess? Thank you!

Wood stove pellets, no accelerants added. Very cheap and they smell nice too.

Or equine pellets, and use a high sided litter box to better keep them contained, and just put a layer of hay over the pellets so they can’t kick out when the buns jump out of the box. Plus the bun will munch the hay while going of course.

Yep, wood pellets. I use a horse stall bedding brand, but you can also buy them as wood stove pellets or wood pellet cat litter. The stove pellets and horse stall bedding are usually much cheaper

They break down as they get weed on, but they don’t track like shavings do.
