i am not attempting to bond a trio. I just want to know if my 3 bunnies would ever be able to play with one another (or not be aggressive towards the new baby) during playtime. My bonded pair had the run of the apartment before the new baby was added to our little family, and I was hoping it would be eventually possible for them to all be out at the same time without aggression. Anyone else out there with multiple buns who don’t have to juggle between separate play times?

The new baby is a girl (who I will have spayed when she’s old enough) and the bonded pair are 2 neutered males if this helps answer my question!

Again, I don’t want to disrupt the bond between my males, or attempt to have a bonded trio.. I just want to know if all 3 could be together without any risk of harm or unnecessary stress.

        Thank you so much!

If rabbits are to be together at all, they should be bonded and kept together all the time. To have occasional or even daily play dates would not work. You should keep the new baby away from your other two at this time. Her hormones will be kicking in at some point and your other rabbits can react to that. Even just having a new rabbit in the house can sometimes cause a bonded pair to start scuffling or have problems, and having physical contact with a new unspayed rabbit could really cause problems. Many people have successfully bonded a third rabbit to an already bonded pair. Keep the pair and the new rabbit separate now, then go through the bonding process after she has been spayed and a few weeks have passed.

Is there a specific reason you don’t want to attempt bonding a trio?
