Okay so I’ve had my little bun for over a year now and I’m still very unsure about my little guys breed! Not that it matters just curious and he’s also getting nuetered soon and I can’t help to have the nervous pre surgery jitters ? Any good questions to ask my doctor before the surgery to ease the nerves?

Its normal to worry when our children have to go to the vets, I would say talk to the veterinary surgery on the phone or go in and tell them you are worried, they are used to it, I panic when Olly goes for his claws cut, I don’t do them because I have low vision, Olly is my assistant pet, even when I book a taxi I asked them not to send a driver that thinks he’s on a racetrack and not to put my Olly in the boot (Trunk) one driver tried, oh he found out how wrong it was.

Oh he looks darling! How large is he? That might help narrow down breeds

As far as questions to ask before surgery… If you are worried about your vet being rabbit savvy, you should ask if he should be fasted before surgery. Bunnies can’t vomit and it is very dangerous for them to go any time without food, so any good rabbit vet should know not to advise fasting before surgery. Also you can ask what sort of after care they provide and how long they recommend keeping him after the procedure. Luckily male rabbit’s neuters are less invasive and usually much more simple than spays, so try not to be too nervous!

Welcome Bunaroo : ) What a cute bunneh!!

Im not sure if it’s just the photo / trick of lighting(?) but he looks like he has a bit of a sheen to the fur. It made me think he could be a Satin or Mini Satin rabbit. He looks a lot like it in body/head shape compared to some pic I just looked at.

Wish you (and him!) all the best with the upcoming op.

I’m going to comprise a list and call my doc within the next couple days I’m sure his pre surgery blood work will also help me calm down as far as buns breed jersey girl I’m thinking you hit it on the head! I googled satins and they all have the same head size and shape and he does have beautiful shiney fur! Wow that’s interesting ? I love bunnys im hoping to get him a friend within the next few months I’m thinking of a female Rex.
