Hey guys! I have a dilemma, one of my three rabbits, brownie, keeps chewing through the zip ties that are holding the cages together, I need some ideas for metal or stronger things to attach my squares together, the cages are made of the squares that make book shelves, and are metal, but I need something to attach to them to hold my squares together, since my Brownie keeps chewing through them and making doors open!

This is rather critical because I am not home right now, college, and my mom is taking care of the buns but she isn’t with them as much as I usually am, so if they were to break out we could have serious issues!

        Please any ideas are appreciated!

        Thank you!

This is what they are made out of!

Binder clips in some positions may work. Not structurally as tight, but will provide support where needed.

Do you need something to secure the walls together, or just to hold the doors shut?

I use brass clips (http://www.artisanleather.co.uk/user/products/large/heavy-brass-clip-for-leather-16mm-round-eye-393-p.jpg) for my doors.

If you need something to hold the walls together, you could try wiring them together, because clips prob wouldn’t be strong enough, and the brass ones I use would be too loose. You would just need to be very sure that the sharp ends are tucked away so no one gets poked.

Thank you! We are going to try wiring them together since it is the walls not the doors, doors we use clips for, but the walls are being torn off by my crazy man! So wiring it is!

I’m a bit late here, but you can get metal zip ties, they’re usually stainless steel. Pricey but ultimately worth it if the cage doesn’t collapse in on the buns
