        Hello all,

For the past couple of days, my female mini lop has been focusing her days on burrowing & making what looks like to me multiple nests inside her cage. Luckily she isn’t pulling out fur like I’ve heard a lot of rabbits do when they’re making full-blown nests.

I’ve also heard about “false pregnancies” & similar things & I figured it could be something similar to this. Thankfully she’s still running around & binkying, not acting aggressive at all which is a trait of false pregnancies, I think? She’s usually a big eater too, but is only eating small potions of her usual feed, taking hourly breaks.

She was born May 25th, so that would make her nearing 4 months old, so I was wondering when she could be spayed & if it was a regular thing for her to have such characteristics around this age?

Apologies if this has already been talked about/posted before, but we were just a little worried about our little bun!!

        Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for asking. CottonBall is acting similar but I couldn’t post my question. She’ll be a year in Nov. She also digs under the dresser where I can’t get to when she’s out. And grouchy! And throwing stuff in her cage, unusual. Off her food, too pooping fine. Definitely nest behavior I was wondering about false pregnancies too. How often do they happen? How long do they last? Is there anything I can give her (pretend baby) to make her feel better? Thanks
