Hi everyone. Just wondering what everyone thought about this pellet I got for my flemish buck. If it seems like it is a good pellet. If not ill buy something else of course, hes not on pellets yet. (Stomach issues from previous home) and was wondering what you all use for pellets and has anyone read into or done just a all natural diet, meaning no pellets, just hay, greens, veggies and such? Amd if so how did it work for you and what does your feeding schedule and menue look like/consist of?

I don’t do pellet free as mine get more of a sensitive tummy to veges than they do to pellets ( that’s just my experience though )
Here’s a good link where it explains replacing nutrients if doing a pellet free diet

What brand is the pellet? Rabbits under 6 months should have alfalfa-based, older than that they should be moving to timothy-based. Plain pellets (no extra junk such as dried peas, corn, seeds and whatnot thrown in to make it taste “better” or whatever) are best. I use Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food, and the package instructions say 1/8 cup per 4 pounds adult bun body weight (though many here feed smaller amounts than that).

Naturewise 18% performance pellet feed is the brand. I’m going to donate that bag tho amd go with another pellet. Probably one for sensitive tummies.

And I am feeding unlimited alfalfa hay, I add timothy and oat hay in the diet using enrichment toys and fun paper bags. I use mainly alfalfa as a staple because he is only about 7 weeks old.
