So I rescued a rabbit and her fur was beautiful. After a while her fur started to shed and I thought oh, she’s shedding. But she never grew a FULL coat back. It’s just patchy. I’ve tried the fur buster and it literally made my rabbits back bald. I’m scared it’s taking out too much. I was wondering what you guys use to get that beautiful rex coat. My rabbit’s coat is still patchy but very soft and thin. Please help me get her that beautiful rex coat.

I think shedding is just a thing for Rexes. I have 1 rabbit that I’m sure is purebred Rex (and by sure I mean that’s what they told me at the shelter) and he sheds non-stop. The more I brushed him the thinner and weaker his coat looked so I stopped and now he looks like this:

A very grainy image, I know. He’s also my profile picture. This is his “brother” Fred:  My camera is terrible but their coats are very soft. So maybe don’t brush her so often? If that’s her in your profile picture she looks BEAUTIFUL.

            Oh sweetness!

Try using a pumice stone. It’s supposed to work well for rex fur. They use them for grooming horses also.

Thank you so much. My rabbit is not pure bred because her coat is more thin and long. I am going to try and use a pumice stone.
