I have recently added a dwarf to my home which consisted of my first rabbit Jiggy a flemish giant mix. they got along really good at first. they played and the second day even layed with each other. they are both males. the flemish is fixed the dwarf is still too young but now they are fighting like it’s fight club! does anyone know the best way to get these two to get along? when I have them outside they are fine inside they can’t stand each other.. any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Rob. I’m glad you were able to post a topic!

My first thought, which will be many users’ thought, is the bonding process cannot start until both your rabbits are neutered. You think typically about neutering/spaying to prevent pregnancy, but it’s also to make the rabbits get along. Without neutering/spaying in all involved parties, territorial hormones will get in the way, causing some fighting.

Once both are neutered, then you’ll want to start bonding slowly. It seems, since fighting is the go-to response for these lads, that visual introduction would be best, in addition to swapping territories for a bit. I have no experience with bonding, so others can chime in, but the highlight of this reply is mainly, both rabbits should be neutered.

Thanks for your input I have seperated the two into different rooms and the have seperate places to play until I can get Bucky neutered and re introduce them to each other. it will take a month or so but I am keeping my fingers crossed that the bonding goes well
