My almost 2 year old rabbits have been living together until they reached 6 months, that’s when they matured. And one of them was actually a male but I thought both of them were females and so did the breeder). So Oreo (the male) have been getting ‘excited’ and I had to buy another home for him. My third rabbit, he’s pretty old cause we got him earlier and never encounter another rabbit in his life. When I first got the baby bunnies I tried bringing them close to Coffee (the older male). Which didnt turn out so well and I thought it was because they were females. And when I found out Oreo was a guy I though it was because he’s been living with a female and got the scent off her. But now I put Oreo close to Coffee and Coffee gets ‘excited’. Oreo and female rabbit has been separated for a while and I’m confident that he doesnt have her smell anymore. So what’s happening? Can two male rabbit happen? And also they aren’t spayed or neutered (obviously). There aren’t any rabbit specialized vets anywhere close.

I’m a little confused – do you have two or three rabbits? Or did you have three but re homed one?

Males can bond for sure. Sex doesn’t really matter, it all comes down to personality. However, they need to be neutered. That is the first step.

All rabbits need to be spayed or neutered. Hormonal rabbits will not bond. Hormonal rabbits focus is only on fighting and breeding. Note, hormonal rabbits will often fight to the death. They both need to be neutered/spayed. If only one is neutered/spayed, theyll still act hormonally because they ‘feed’ off of the hormones of the hormonal rabbit.

Agree with Mikey – none of your 3 can be bonded at all until you have them all desexed
It can quickly turn deadly when hormones are involved
