We have only had our new Bun Barry for 2 days now and we are really lucky that he is bounding around the house, binkying and interacting with the dog with no issue at all, he is really confident and is already following me around the house and circling me.

Last night we were bonding and I was stroking him for a while, he started to lick me for about 15 mins, I have heard that this is supposed to be affectionate. I was worried that it was too soon to be this, or are we just lucky to have such a comfortable loving bun??

is the appropriate reaction.  Your Barry seems to have fallen head-over-heels in love with you! It really is pretty unusual, but no cause for concern – quite the contrary – for a rabbit to get so affectionate so early on. My Fernando is pretty much the same way. The first two times he met, he was licking/grooming me like anything. He was a bit more reserved at our pre-homecoming get-together last Saturday, and for the first couple of days after he and his mother Panda moved in with me, but he’s started grooming me again every day, though only for a few seconds at a time. He seems to have gotten the idea that my undershirt (which, like his fur, is white) is actually my fur and has been grooming that.

How old is Barry, and is he neutered? Unaltered teen buns exhibit courtship behaviour like licking and circling due to hormones.
But if he’s just a tiny baby or if he was neutered more than a month or two ago, then you just hit jackpot and got a really lovey dovey bun.
