I am currently trying to bond my 2 fixed males and it’s going pretty well. We have been having 3 daily sessions for 2 days now and there has only been 1 small fight and a few nips from 1 bunny. Each session has been over 1 hour long since they do pretty well together and I even had one today that lasted 3 hours! They eat together, can use the litterbox together, and lay next to each other in the sessions. I am currently only having them in the bathtub together with some toys (added today) and a litterbox. I haven’t seen any grooming yet, but both of my bunnies bow their heads hoping the other will groom them. Also, after they are in the tub for about 30 minutes I usually leave the room and do things around the house (but still stay close enough to listen) and nothing dramatic happens. The toys didn’t change their behavior, either. There was mounting from one bunny and it didn’t cause any aggressive or anything. What should be my next step?

You absolutely should NOT leave them unattended. If you have to get on with things around the house, don’t do a bonding session. You need to actually supervise them.

Sounds like they are making progress (the snuggling is great), but you will want to see grooming. You can try smooshed banana on the head to trigger them to groom each other. Keep up with the longer sessions. You might also try something stressful, like a car ride together, or vacuuming near them.

Agree that you should not leave them alone at this stage, it’s still too early to trust them.
