So I’ve had my rabbit for about 5 months now and she is about 14 months old. She isn’t spayed which I know is the first step but I can’t do that right now. I just recently bought a now 9 week old Netherland dwarf. I tried putting them together and my newzealand is very aggressive towards the baby. I’ve put their cage next to each other and I’ve tried sitting in neutral territory with them but it isn’t working. How can I stop this agressive behavior shown by my big rabbit?

Don’t try and bond before both are spayed and neutered. Unspayed/unneutered rabbits can’t be bonded because of their hormones.

Ok is there a way to make it so my bigger rabbit is less agressive toward my little bunny?

Spay and neuter. Once hormones have dissipated, start pre bonding for a month or so. Then start actual bonding.

Don’t put them together. She will be very territorial and aggressive. Then only way you can help that is to spay and neuter.

You are risking fighting and severe injuries if you put rabbits together who aren’t spayed and neutered. You will have to keep them apart at all times, when they are housed and when they are out exercising, until both have been spayed or neutered, with a few weeks elapsing after their surgeries. Then, you will have to go through proper bonding procedures to ensure that they will be okay together.
