hi all!!! since my boys are finally bonded and living together 24/7, I figured I would show you their new setup!!! I am a HUGE supporter of exercise pens for rabbit home bases, as they provide lots of room, and are very easy to change, and store. (And depending on where you purchase, they don’t have to be too expensive!! YAY for less $$$) anyway, the new setup has me very pleased, I thought maybe I could provide some inspiration, if anyone is considering an ex pen!! and please if anyone has any questions, about ex pen living, or the stuff in the pics, let me know!!! always willing to help.

          Awesome!! Question…

Do your bunnies not dig at the blankets in the bottom? Mine would have the stuff rolled up so fast it would make your head spin!!

thanks so much!!! and no actually they do not, I think they’ve tried a few times, but we do have them tucked under the ex pen, so I think that could possibly help it not roll up in they do!! I guess I’m lucky because they really don’t dig that much at all!!!

You can also use a baby play yard, thats what we have.

What did you make the shelves out of? It looks like wood sitting on rods?

We used cheap too! We converted a baby crib into a hutch, have an Xpen off that.

Hi Olliebun. That looks a greeeat setup. Lucky buns. I would just say that buns can and will (even if they haven’t tried yet – they will!) to jump out off the shelves and so it would be wise to cover over the end of the area, either by something hard (wood/cardboard) or soft (blanket/sheet) to prevent them even thinking about it.
More piccies of both buns please !

Hi!!! yes the shelves are sitting on top of wooden dowels – but we drilled some holes through the wood board, and zip tied it all together and to the ex pen bars just to be safe!!! awesome, that sounds like a great diy!!!
