Bunny Proofing?

Can someone please tell me things to check for bunny-proofing my room? I’m just paranoid that something will happen to him or her (I’m not assuming) Thanks in advance!

The most dangerous things are exposed cords and wires! These should be tucked away out of reach or covered with cord protectors (available online). Bunnies seem to think cords are a tasty snack, and can electrocute themselves if you’re not careful. Other things, make sure there aren’t any objects they can knock over and injure themselves. For the sake of your room, it’s good to place guards on the corners and baseboards to prevent chewing.

another thing besides cords and wires but along that line, is electrical outlets, not sure if anyone here has but my aunt used to have a problem with these with her buns; would investigate them a bit too much for her liking, you could just buy protector things for them, they have them for babies safety I believe

The storage cube grids are a good way to block off electronics that are low to the ground. Cable ties work well to see them together.

You should also make sure that they can’t jump up onto tables and places where food is kept, even their own… they are very determined to get into their pellets, and for some reason hay tastes better when they’ve chewed a hole in the bottom of the bag to get to it!

For my own part, I’m planning to keep Panda and Fernando under supervision in a nice roomy playpen connected directly to their habitat whenever they’re out in my main room, until I’m sure my small efficiency apartment has been bunny-proofed enough that I can trust them out and about (still with my weather eye on them!).

Here are 2 of the few things I have done (I don\t do much, since I mainly keep my bunnies in my room. Don’t worry, it’s spacious enough)
– I cover all the elec wires with flex tubing
– I put up some baby gates to ward off my bunnies from entering rooms like laundry room or water boiler room
