My name is Kendra, I’m 28 and I live in NH with my boyfriend, our tripod pit bull mix, 2 cats, parrot, and of course our bunny! His official name is Lemmy but we typically call him just bun, bun-@$$, or Hoppa Ganoush! We got our bun last November so he’s probably getting close to a year old. We absolutely love him. Im not going to lie, rabbits were never at the top of the list for me to have as a pet, although I love all animals, I had just never met any other than the scared little things that you see in pet stores and never thought they could be much fun. I WAS SO SO WRONG. My little bun is active, curious, playful, and affectionate! I never thought I could love a rabbit this much. I’m not sure what type he is, when we first got him he actually had a bunch of fluff on his head cheeks and butt, but now as he’s aged that seems to have almost all disappeared and from just looking online possibly a mini rex mix? He’s INCREDIBLY soft. Anywho, I thought I’d share him with you all!

Hopefully the picture comes out okay, had some issues trying to resize it.

          Hi and welcome!

Sounds like from his description as a young bun he might be a lionhead mix

I also got my bun last year in December. Despite having rabbits as a child I am being re-educated in how amazing they are as pets. Does Lemmy get on with your other pets?

He’s lost all his fluffiness now and just had a short smooth Coat with short curly whiskers, hence the rex idea but he might have lionhead in there too! That’s definitely what I thought when he was small! I’ll try to upload some pictures from my tablet this weekend as I was having some issues with the image resizing.
My cats are a little to frisky and big for me to feel comfortable letting them interact, and although my dog has ignored my bunny on a few occasions of supervised bunny playtime, I don’t let them interact directly, just to be on the safe side.
We’re currently staying with family so Lemmy can’t be out as often as I’d like him to, but his cage is very large and beside our bed so he gets lots of attention and every chance I get I let him out to hang in our room with me. He loves to hang out and get pets from us and doesn’t show any signs of being lonely which is good.

He is a very handsome boy and I’m really glad he showed you the error of your ways
Seriously, though, I couldn’t agree more – buns make shockingly interesting and lovable pets

Lemmy is beautiful! Was it Lemmy of Motörhead that inspired his name? He looks super-soft!
