        Hello
Some of you may have seen my post about Munchie’s spay, and sadly she has passed away. She received an overdose of one of the drugs, to be exact 10 x more than she should have, all down to a mistake calculating the drugs. The surgery went well for most of the time, but her heart began to fail when the overdosed drug hit her. The vets tried everything, breathing for her, giving her adrenaline, but sadly she got to the other side, passing in her sleep.
Muffin is now a lone bunny, and I don’t plan on getting her a friend currently, but I will be sure to spend extra time with her
I will definitely be in tears for a long time and broken forever, but what hurts me most is that Muffin saw Munchie leave in the morning, but never got to see her come back. If you plan on getting a bunny spayed or neutered, make sure to get the vets to double check the calculations, as that is what killed Munchie.
        Any questions, please ask

I’m so sorry about Munchie . But it was the right thing to get her spayed. The miscalculation was TEN times over? I’d be so upset – I’d be suing the pants off somebody. It just seems inexcusable. I hope Muffin grieves ok.

I’m so sorry for you and Muffin! :'( It’s every rabbit owner’s worst nightmare to have such a thing happen.
It’s unbelievable that they gave her a tenfold overdose, I’d definitely make a case or at least an official reprimand out of this. Of course it won’t get Munchie back, but these dosages should be checked just as thoroughly as in human hospitals.

Oh I’m so sorry my love. It sounds like a decimal point gone wrong. What a horrible thing to have to go through for such a stupid mistake. I hope you and Muffin get through this together x

I’m so sorry for your loss.. You are right about being broken forever…

but this is terrifying for me, I haven’t spayed my buns yet even though they reached 2yo because there aren’t any rabbit-savvy vets around here. So on one hand I don’t want to rick cancer or other diseases from not spaying them and on the other hand I can’t handle losing them overnight due to a failed surgery… What’s even worse that the vets won’t even admit it if they did something wrong, they’ll just lie and cover everything up..

Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.
