Right now I was thinking of getting this cage that is 48 in L and 30 in W and don’t know if I can fit too much of a bigger cage. But is this size too small to comfortably fit 2 rabbits?

if they are two smaller buns I think that would do as long as they get a good amount of exercise out of the cage. then they will be happy and healthy.

Rabbits need about 18sqfeet each for cages. (edit) Your current cage seems to be a little less than 4sqfeet if I have my math right (without knowing the height of the cage). (/edit) You can link a pen to the cage to give them more room

I think it’s too small, especially if you are going to be housing two buns in it. You can as Mikey suggested expand on that space as a “homebase” using a playpen surrounding the cage.

Sorry but that sounds tiny. If you can’t fit a big enough cage that allows them to run, jump, binky and play comfortably maybe you could bunny proof your house and have them free roam.

Are the rabbits you plan to get an adult bonded pair or 2 young rabbits? 2 rabbits as babies may live together for a while but chances are they won’t get along as they mature and you’d need 2 separate habitats. If you are limited on space, you might have to stack 2 cages in that case and provide them individual time out of the cage.
Getting 2 desexed, bonded adults, you could house them in a condo style home. It doesn’t take up a lot of floor space, but has more vertical space/levels.
