Certain home circumstances forced me to give away my brand new rabbit . I had him for a week and the store I got him from said he was 11 weeks old. I feel terrible and the night I decided to give him away I could not stop crying . We bonded and emotionally i was not ready for this but it’s best for him he gonna somewhere he is happy and somewhere he belongs . I feel he will forget me quickly but for me I will remember him forever and feel guilty forever .

It’s a real shame that you had to give him up, and I can understand your feelings of guilt and sadness about it. But if you weren’t able to give him a safe and happy home, then giving him a chance of a better life elsewhere was absolutely the best thing to do for him. Remember that you did the right thing for him and treasure the memory of your time together. Maybe one day if your circumstances change you’ll be able to pay it forward by adopting another rabbit and giving them a better life too.

If you had to give him away to give him a better home, you did the right thing. He deserved the best life, and if you could not (yet) provide that for him, giving him to someone who can give him the best is what you had to do. You did the right thing

I mean it’s sad that you had to give him up after a week but if you couldn’t look after him, what else could you do? It’s better to give him the chance of a very loving home. You did the right thing.
