I recently have one bunny, and i am getting another one. The girl we already have is super anxious, and i dont know if we should even try bonding them. Could i just keep them in separate rooms? Im still going to pay attention to both of them, but im worried about bonding them.

It depends on their age and sex. How old is your first bunny and does it have access to the majority of the house? When bonding rabbits you have to have a neutral space, I would suggest looking at the bunny info at the top and bonding. Both 101rabbits and stormyrabbits have videos on bonding two bunnies.

Well no, you don’t need to if you don’t want to bond but I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to try?

I would try it, definitely. Nothing beats the company of their own kind As long as they’re both spayed/neutered and they’ve had 6 weeks to let hormones subside.

If you feel anxious, take it very slowly – there’s no rush. Watch lots of videos and take a look at the bonding sticky. Are there any rescues near you that you could ask for advice or even pay them to bond for you? x

If two single bunnies works best for both of your buns (definitely a possibility), then yes, you can keep them seperated. Youll still want them near, however, so they dont feel threatened when you sneak off to pet some unknown bunny also living in the house Youll want them to know one another, without having them live together, basically

If you have an anxious bun, getting her a friend might help her come out of her shell and become a little more confident
