After few months of mourning after Afroditi’s death, we decided we could adopt a new bunny and I was wondering what are the differences between Males and Females, regarding behavior, personalities, etc.

        Awaiting replies, thanks!

So sorry to hear about Afroditi, but it’s great that you’re going to adopt another bun! Personally I don’t think there is a difference between males and females in terms of personality. I would just go to a shelter/wherever and see if you feel a connection with any

            A new bun!
In my experience, bunnies male and female delight in defying stereotypes! My boy Marshmallow really smashed his stereotypes (breed temperament and un-altered male stereotypes especially – Note: I do believe neutering is ideal)
Rabbits really are unique They jump out of the box of the expected every time Expect the unexpected!
Factors like environment, and how the bunny has been treated by humans often plays a big part of how they behave also.

I’ve had 3 females and 7 males over the years and I def found the boys look for me more – want the interaction more in my experience
The females couldn’t care less if I enter the room most of the time from my experience

I know some others here have had different experience but for me I def prefer male bunnies

My boy is friendlier, my girl is shy BUT she is so hilarious to watch because she has personality to the hilt. I like SarahT.G’s idea of seeing if you connect with a rabbit at the shelter. That’s how Thor and I fell in LOVE <3

Well, my girl is the attention seeker and will watch YouTube happily cuddled with me while licking me….

My boy has always been a bit aloof but since he’s had bonding sessions with Winter (work in progress), he remained shy but outside of his cage became bolder and started to look for attention. Just shows how much of an influence they have in that time!

I would just go to shelter and pick the one you like there, regardless of gender

We just adopted a bunny now! It’s 3 months! The petshop guy told us it needs to be 6 months in order to find out it’s gender. Not sure if I can believe him but I will post pictures soon on “welcome”

Oh, how lovely! Can’t wait to see pictures! I was so sorry when you lost Afroditi. If it’s a boy you shouldn’t have to wait 6 months for his testicles to drop, it’ll happen sooner.
