Is this sore hocks, or the beginning of them? I don’t have many carpets on my floors but I’m getting some soon, but is he already getting sore hocks? It looks like some fur is missing on his feet and I’m wondering what to do..

I agree =( but carpet never did that to mine? Is there anywhere hard your bun goes? Kitchen, or a boundary between carpet and something else that has a metal binder in the doorway?

I find that even carpet can start sore hocks as most are still rough against their feet I had a list of creams and things to use somewhere but they have to be bandaged over or have a sock on to prevent them digesting it. Fingers crossed if you take your bun to the vets

If your bunny isn’t a chewer those play mats work really good. You can get some pretty decent deals on them on the walmart website.

If the bare spots aren’t horribly red or painful, I wouldn’t rush to say your bunny has sore hocks.

All my bunnies hare bare spots like that and the vet says they’re normal. They are simply because of the way all bunnies lay especially as they get older.

If you have any doubts, by all means check with your vet.

Aw that looks just like my girl’s hocks. The vet said just make sure she has blankets/towels where she likes to hang out but it hasn’t really helped.
After her spay she chewed one heel until it bled I think it was from stress.
I’m trying Vetericyn Hot Spot Spray right now and I believe I’m seeing improvement. There is a faint layer of hair growing in so far since I’ve been using it the last 2 weeks.
